Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I've been in childcare for 10 1/2 yrs. I've worked with children from infant to school age I also have worked with children with minor mental health issues. I enjoy working with children it is a job that requires you to have a lot of patients and most of all love. I have my certification to administer medicine as well as my TECE 1. I will not only take care of the children I will teach the children reading, writing, art and math I believe that children grow by learning and lets not forget play children learn the most through play. Attitude and work ethic

I have a very positive attitude when it comes to the care of children. Ive worked in a private home for two years and in daycare for eight in a half . In the home i was working with four children age ranges 1,3,5 and 6. three girls and one boy. My job was to get them ready for school in the mornings consisting on cooking breakfast, getting them dressed, doing hair and taking them to the school bus. The one yr old would stay home with me where while she would be down for a nap I would do light house cleaning such as some dishes wiping tables ect. I would then pick the children up from the bus and do homework , dinner, bath time, story time and bed. Working at the daycare i worked with children from infant t6o school age in the morning it would consist of circle time alphabet,days of the week colors ect. We would then have some work sheets with colors letters numbers and some reading of small words, outside play, lunch and nap everyday routine things. The infants would consist of feedings, changing, sensory play. I can say working with children is a rewarding experience I love my job!
