Why do you want to work as a nanny?
While I have been a teacher for ten years, I have found my most challenging and rewarding year was the year that I was a nanny for a family. They had two children-Katie 7 and Austin 4. My best memories are really doing arts and crafts things with them. We enjoyed taking walks in the woods, going to the park, baking, and playing games together. Our favorite gave was Yahtzee. We baked all sorts of things. I enjoyed sharing my childhood memories with them and allowing them to share in them too, since we did so many of the same sorts of things.
I enjoy quilting, reading, imaginative play (dress-up, etc.), being outdoors, swimming, and crafting. I find that by incorporating all of these activities into one's childhood, it creates a well-rounded child. I confess, while I like sports, I am not much of a participant; however, I am avid cheerleader for those playing.
I have background checks on file with the federal government, state and local governments as a part of my son's adoption process. I also am infant, child, and adult certified in CPR and First Aid as a part of my son's adoption process and requirements for being a public school teacher.
