Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I am a substitute teacher and I am currently going to school for my teaching credential. I substitute in grade levels K-12, so I am experienced in working with children of all ages. I also do reading tutoring, primarily for children aged 5-12. I love working with kids and put a high emphasis on education. I would be a great nanny for a family who is looking for someone who has high energy to have fun with their kids, but also incorporates education into daily activities.

Attitude and work ethic

My attitude toward working as a nanny is that I would like to have fun and bond with the children I work with, but I also know how to be firm with rules. As a substitute teacher, I have been able to find a balance between being fun and nurturing, but also firm. I also try to incorporate education into activities as much as possible. Especially in the summer, I think it is essential that kids get outside and explore the world, so I would be happy to abide by limited TV time rules!
