Why do you want to work as a nanny?

i have been caring for children between the ages of 5 months and 12 years for about five years and absolutely love it. I am studying to be a kindergarten teacher at De Anza College and have taken 3 course in Child Development. My life goal is to have a career that allows me to care for children everyday.

Attitude and work ethic

i have experience with cooking, entertaining, and helping children with their homework. When taking on the role of a nanny i really like getting to know the parents so i can understand their wants and beliefs for their child. i encourage creative play that includes using ones imagination and do not support watching television. i love seeing happy children so play time, in my eyes, should be a time for being active in various ways. Reading is and has been an interest of mine for many years so i try to make reading a fun activity for children so they can enjoy it also.
