Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I have grown up with younger siblings and babysat as a teenager. I worked in a Residential Treatment Center for teenage girls with learning disabilities and other emotional and behavioral struggles for 3.5 years. I learned a lot there about interacting with other people, caring for children, parenting styles, and relationships with others. This experience has helped me with my most recent job while starting graduate school (part-time nanny for a 5 and 2 year old) and helped me see that I am confident in my ability to lovingly and safely care for any children in any situation.

Attitude and work ethic

I strive to be responsible, dependable, and level-headed in everything that I do, but I really enjoy being able to interact with others in the form of helping to take care of children. I genuinely enjoy being around them, learning from their perspective, helping to teach them and making sure they are well taken care of. I want to work with students in a school setting when I'm finished with school and I like the experience and insight that taking care of children in their home gives me in preparation for my future family and career. I think it is of the greatest importance for children to be raised as well as possible to help them with the rest of their life.
