Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I love children. The past ten years of my life have been spent as an older sister, neighborhood babysitter, lifeguard, elementary dance teacher, tutor, and role-model. Many experiences I have had with children has proven to be rewarding, educational, and inspiring. My past times with children have led me to pursue my master's degree in dance education, where I will be constantly interacting with children and earning a teacher's certificate. If hired as a nanny, my time spent with children would be completely dedicated to their well-being and comfort.

Attitude and work ethic

I believe children are a gift to learn from, support, encourage, and love. As a babysitter, my first and foremost goal is to be a constant role-model for the children who are my responsibility. I always strive to create a similar environment the parents/guardians have molded for their children, and encourage an atmosphere of mutual respect and comfort. I am not a babysitter who turns on the television and leaves children to sit idle for hours; my aim to create a dynamic and creative atmosphere where children can continue to learn, have fun, and feel comfortable while their parents or guardians are not present. In short, I enjoy helping children positively grow into responsible and intelligent young adults.
