Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I have 7 years nanny experience, working for one family. I cared for their 18 month old daughter and 3 year old son. I interact well with all children and believe that engaging children in fun-filled play is the ideal way to give them a great start in life. One of the many things I love doing is reading stories and singing songs with them. I have the ability to capture a child's attention and imagination, as I'm very animated when I engage them in these types of activities. I'm gentle, patient, nurturing, and affectionate as well as trustworthy, reliable and very organized.

Attitude and work ethic

I believe that consistency is very important in a child's life, especially between the nanny and parent/parents. I would follow their philosophy on child rearing and discipline, making sure to do my best to keep the child/children on the same daily routine that they are use to. I believe in focusing on positive behavior, rather then the negative. Praise them when they are good, and always treat them with respect. Children learn by example and they absorb everything they hear or see. I like to try to include them in everyday activities, allowing them to help me with little chores around the house. This makes them feel needed, appreciated and it builds their self confidence.
