Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I worked for Youthland Academy for a summer. I was a substitute teacher and cared for a class room of children the same age. I learned excellent skills to handle large groups of children and how to teach respect and politeness skills. I tend to only babysit for a few families at a time. I like to bond with families and provide consistency for the children. I am creative and kind. I believe a positive attitude is everything and can influence and impact children greatly. I am familiar with all ages, however, I do prefer to work with younger children. I like to teach and am comfortable with helping with homework of all age levels. I like working with children because I feel comfortable with them. I was a girl scout all the way throughout middle and high school. I appreciate spending time and teaching little ones because I am genuinely good at it.

Attitude and work ethic

My attitude is always positive. I am always on time, which I believe means being at least 10 minutes early. I am willing to be flexible and if that means an inpromtu change of plans I can work with it. I help clean when I can and if time allows after the children are in bed. I stick to a parental schedule if there is one. If no schedule is provided then I use my best judgment to make sure children are in bed and asleep by the time you come home. I am friendly with pets. I am always willing to learn something new. I pride myself on following directions as well. I am attending Grad school at U of L. My classes are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. If it were allowed I would ask permission to work on school work after the children are in bed. I do not mind to travel and run errands, however, I do prefer to transport children as little as possible.
