Why do you want to work as a nanny?

My first family I cared for lasted two years. I started when the girls were one and three years old. I helped with the potty training process, learning how to walk, diaper changing etc. You name it I did it. That family became my family too. I looked at and still do look at them as my little sisters. I still keep in contact with the family and visit them often! My most recent family I cared for lasted a year. I started again when the girls were about 1 and 2. I again helped with potty training, weaning off the paci, bathing, diaper changing, meals, getting them ready etc. I try to help out as much as I can. If the kids are sleeping and I notice things need help I don't mind. For my previous families they didn't ask me to do chores, but just to make things easier for them I would do the dishes, take the trash out, fold laundry and what ever else was needed! I don't view being a nanny as just a "job" although it pays my bills and is my job I rely on for living, I like to think of the family as an extended part of my family. People to keep in my life and be involved with for the rest of my life and to watch the kids grow up!

Attitude and work ethic

I've always loved children ever since I was younger! I have been a nanny for the past almost 5 years and have loved it. I currently was with a family for the past year, but they are needing someone who is part time now and I need something a bit more full time. I love all ages, but would have to say infants are my favorite. Just because I like to share a bond with them from early on and be able to watch them grow and be part of the process too! I am very patient and a loving person which is why some day I hope to have my own home day care! I love to take the kids on walks, go to the park, create arts and crafts, go swimming and just getting on the floor and playing with them! I am a big kid at heart and love to interact with kids and see how excited they get over the simplest things. There is something so sweet about seeing the world through a little ones eyes. They can make your day go from being bad to being grate without even trying!
