Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I believe that all children are a gift from God. I want to make a difference in the lives of children. I have raised my two beautiful daughters - 19 and 17 years old. I have worked for years with infants and toddlers at our church nursery. I taught preschool with ages three to five and kindergarten with ages four through six. I love to learn and share ideas. I went back to school to get my Early Childhood education certificate and continued until I earned my Bachelors degree in Education. I am creative and enjoy making things. I also like to cook. I am always looking for new recipes for my family. I have two vegetarians, I like lighter foods and a heavy meat eater to cook for. Meals can be challenging. The same goes for young, picky eaters.

Attitude and work ethic

I am very patient, warm and loving. I have a strong work ethic and work as long as needed to get the job done. I worked full-time as an early childhood educator (ages three through five) at a private preschool for four years. I recently taught two years of kindergarten (part-time). I love working with children, especially the young ones. I have been working and continue to work with infants and toddlers at our church nursery for almost seven years on the weekends. I really enjoy exploring nature, learning about culture and being creative. I also enjoy cooking with children. It is the best way to introduce them to new foods and nutrition.
