Why do you want to work as a nanny?

Yes, I am currently a kindergarten teacher. I truly enjoy working with small children. I like to be active with the kids such as going to the local parks, museums, and participating in sports of some kind. I love doing arts and crafts with kids and letting their personalities shine. I am person who is positive and enjoys laughing. I am resposnible and I can take direction easily. At the same time, I am able to think on my feet in emergencies and maintain a sense of calm in my environment. Children love me and I have been working professionally with them for 16 years! I have a lot of energy and no day is boring with me. My hobbies include traveling to near and distant places, exercising at a local bootcamp and assisting with fundraisers at my school. I want to work as a nanny because I am good at working with children and it comes very natural to me.

Attitude and work ethic

I enjoy work but I also live a balanced life. When I am at work, I give it my all. I am reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. As a kindergarten teacher, I have to be at work by 7:30am and I teach from 8:00am-2:30pm. Throughout the day, I teach Reading, Math, Writing, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education and Visual Arts. I also prepare my students to perform for a yearly school program. We go on 3 field trips a year which I coordinate: La Habra Children's Museum, Santa Ana Science Museum, and trip to CSU Long Beach. I am also the coordinator for the Governor's Challenge program at my school. This program encourages students to be participate in 30 minutes physical activity 3 times a week . I collect the data from our students and submit it to the Governor's Challenge program. I distribute certificates and rewards to all of the students of participate. Every Friday we do Fun Fitness at my school site. It's a lot of fun!
