Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I have 10 years of experience working with children from infants to early school-age children. I love my line of work and am very confident in my abilities. I not only care for the child's most basic needs but also cultivate their growth mentally, emotionally and physically. I treat each child with compassion, patience, kindness and respect. I treat each child as if they were my own. In all of my years working as a nanny, I've never been faced with a situation that I haven't been able to handle. I've dealt with potty training, tantrums/screaming fits, child refusing to eat, social fears, physical limitations, children with ADHD and separation anxiety. I've met each of these problems in a calm manner and have always come out on top.

Attitude and work ethic

I think it's a blessing to be a part of the growth and development of a child- to encourage their strengths and soothe their fears and help them become the amazing people they are going to be. I've also learned so much from working with children and continue to be reminded of what's really important each day. Working with children has taught me how important effective communication is. It's taught me to slow down and appreciate the simple beauty of the world around me. It's taught me how important honesty is- because children will ALWAYS tell you exactly what they think! :) It's also taught me that even adults need play time and that sometimes laying in the grass on a sunny day and looking at the clouds pass by is really the most important thing you can be doing.
