Why do you want to work as a nanny?

First of all, I am attending classes online for Early Childhood Education, going on my second year ( This will not conflict with scheduling). My first aid and CPR has expired but that is a class requirement that I am going to have to renew them within the next few months .I have worked with children through the church since I was at a young age, from nursery through 8th grade (Nursery help, elementary school classes, vacation bible schools, middle school allnighters etc) . I have now nannied for 2 separate families. One with 4 children ages 11,9,4 and 2 the youngest having down syndrome. I was there for about 2 year and then the father was laid off. At that point, I moved to Columbus to be with my sister and got a nanny job with a very nice family and the day i started working for them the mother told me that they are going to be relocating due to a job offer (ages 9,5 and 2) So I am working with them until they move or until i find another family to become apart of.. Also, I had the opportunity to work at an orphanage in Brazil for one summer, teaching an English class, cooking, and just spending time with the children and giving them the love and attention that they needed and deserved.

Attitude and work ethic

I am a very nurturing and patient caregiver. I am very fun and active with the kids and love interacting with them! At the same time I follow discipline as needed, and make sure they understand why they are being disciplined. I enjoy playing board games with the kids, science experiments, arts and crafts, reading, playing outside a lot when weather is permitting. I have taken previous children to parks, zoos, swimming pools, so I am comfortable being in public and watching over the children. I enjoy doing things that the children like doing and watching them get excited over it. I have worked with a very structured family and a very laid back family. I also have helped with cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and helped with pets as well.
