Why do you want to work as a nanny?

My experience as a caregiver for children is extensive and varied. As most young girls, I did quite a bit of babysitting growing up. As an adult I find that I am very good with infants and toddlers, though I very much enjoy young ones who are old enough to be taught and do interesting and fun learning activities as well. A large part of my experience was working for an Easter Seals school for behaviorally challenged children. Though some had physical disabilities as well, all of the children from ages 7 to 17 had learning disabilities, emotional and mental health problems that prevented them from going to a mainstream school. Part of my job was to help them learn the skills to re-enter the public school system. In the matter of behavioral issues, I was trained in both verbal and physical crisis intervention. I hope to utilize these my learned skills to help a family in the near future.

Attitude and work ethic

When working with students in the classroom I found that teaching them was one of the most rewarding pursuits. I love the fact that children are so willing to learn and it is amazing to watch their personality develop. I know that my role in a child's life is important because of how impressionable they are so it is crucial that my actions reflect how the parents want their children to be raised. I will strive to do this to the best of my ability.
