Why do you want to work as a nanny?

I have been a professional Nanny for over 20 years. I have started working with families when the child was an infant, and in 2 families, another child was born! So, I have had experience with an infant and toddler together! I have long term experience, one family I was with for 11 years, and she will be a reference. The other 2 positions I worked were each over 3 years. I have stayed in touch, and still visit the families I have worked for! I am a very loyal, dependable, tardy, fun Nanny! I am very active at 53 years of age, I Jazzercise to stay healthy and fit, I promote healthy eating, and good manners. My references will tell you, I am a "fun" Nanny, and adore children. I do prefer a 4 day work week, I work Mon-Fri, I do not care which of these days to have off!

Attitude and work ethic

My attitude is always positive and upbeat. I am a true believer of keeping a child stimulated. I do prefer a position where I am able to drive the baby/toddler to activities. I generally stay within the confines of the town I work in, no parkways or long drives!I enjoy playdates, walks, parks, and any other interaction with children. I am not an advocate of "Mommy and Me" classes, those classes are geared just for that, the Mother and Child, not the Nanny and Child, I have had experience doing this class, and the child does get upset with the mentioning of mommy throughout the class, and mommy is at work, I find plenty to do with children other than this type of class!
